Golf is a whole body sport. Your swing is the result of what you visualize and the coordination of all your muscles. If your spine or joints are out of balance anywhere in your body, it can throw off your swing. Did you know a chiropractor is the most commonly consulted professional by injured golfers?

So what do the pros do? They get adjusted top to bottom, have muscles balanced and when necessary do exercises at home to strengthen any weak areas. For professional athletes, 2/3 of injuries are to the spine. These can be corrected and prevented by adjusting and muscle balancing to the whole body.

The main muscles used in golfing are your obliques, upper & lower abdominals, gluteus maximus and erector spinae muscles, but your entire muscle skeletal coordination controls your swing. The obliques are the most powerful rotator of the trunk! At Maximum Health Clinic we look at muscle imbalances and/or patterns of abnormal movement and correct for optimal performance. We can diagnose which muscles are under functioning with muscle testing and reset with our hands, laser and essential oils and put you on exercises which strengthens them.

Even putting requires whole body control. Your core muscles front and back give you the ultimate control so where you aim is where the ball goes. Your arm and shoulder control must sync with your spinal core muscles to make the perfect put.
